Overview

The Student Design, Build, Fly competition last year was a fun one. The primary mission was to drop 4 litters of water out of the sky. The plane still had to fit into a 4 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot box; however the assembly was not timed. 4 litters of water weighs twice as much as the five pound box dropped on the runway last year, so to accommodate this the runway length was lengthened to 150 feet. Throughout this project the members of the group went through the design process and solved many of the interesting problems the competition offered.
