In addition to personal development here at WMU we also try to give back to the community as an organization.

Girl Scout/ Boy Scout Air Zoo Event

Each year AIAA volunteers to educate tomorrows engineers by providing hands on segments to enlighten them about the opportunities in Aeronautics. These all day events give scouts the ability to gain their Aeronautics badge which until recently was overlooked and forgotten about.

Kalamazoo Astronomy Society

AIAA has been invited by the Kalamazoo Astronomy Society to give a presentation of our work throughout the year. This will give us a chance to get better acquainted with the metropolitan area of Kalamazoo.

Monthly Engineering Symposiums

To better involve AIAA with the student body of WMU, AIAA has decided to obtain presenters from all aspects of engineering to enlighten students on current events in the world of engineering.

Bi-annual Hands-on Engineering Workshops

Each semester AIAA holds a hands-on workshop for students of all majors to learn how to build all of the different parts of the DBF Aircraft.
